WU Wien, the Vienna University of Economics and Business, is one of Europe's largest and most prestigious business universities. Founded in 1898, it moved to a spectacular new campus in the Prater area in 2013. The WU Campus, designed by an international roster of star architects, spans over 100,000 square meters and is considered one of the most architecturally significant university complexes built in Europe in the 21st century.

The most convenient route is straightforward: walk one minute to Schottenring station and board the U2 in the direction of Seestadt. After just three stops (Taborstrasse, Praterstern, Messe-Prater), exit at Messe-Prater station. The WU campus entrance is directly adjacent to the station exit. Total travel time: approximately 10 minutes door to campus.
Cycling from Herminengasse to the WU campus takes about 10 to 12 minutes along flat, well-marked bike paths. The route through the Prater's tree-lined Hauptallee is one of Vienna's most pleasant cycling routes. WU campus has extensive bicycle parking. WienMobil Rad bike-sharing stations are available near both our apartments and the campus.
The walk from Old Vienna Apartments to WU Wien takes about 30 to 35 minutes and is a pleasant route that can take you through Augarten park and along the Prater's green spaces. It is a viable option on nice days, particularly if you enjoy passing through the historic Prater park.
The WU campus has its own dining options, including the Mensa (university canteen) with affordable meals. However, the area around our apartments in Leopoldstadt offers much more variety for your evenings and weekends:
